Bridging Data Integration and AI for Industrial Decision Support: Real-Time Applications in Oil and Gas Drilling

A webinar organised by INPACE Thematic Working Group on Digitalization of Industry, Infrastructures, and Services.

This webinar focuses on the transformative role of Decision Support Systems (DSS) in bridging data integration and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address complex challenges in industrial applications, specifically in the oil and gas drilling sector.

Leveraging real-time data, the DSS integrates Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO), Machine Learning (ML), and expert systems to enable predictive maintenance, real-time parameter optimization, and energy auditing.
Participants will gain insights into how advanced analytics and AI-driven tools streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and mitigate risks in well drilling processes. Case studies will showcase practical applications, highlighting the system’s potential to redefine industry benchmarks and foster sustainable operations.

There will be time to discuss with the speaker after the presentation.

This webinar will be presented by Prof. Dr. Senthilmurugan Subbiah, a full professor at IIT Guwahati, India, and a world-renowned expert in automation in the process industries, membrane processes, and water technology.

This webinar will be presented by Prof. Francisco Gamiz, a European INPACE expert involved in the working groups on Advanced Computing and Functionalities, who participates in roadmapping activities in this field.
