Susana Seabra, International Consultant at SPI and partner of the INPACE initiative, has introduced a Report examining synergies and commonalities in policies, strategies and programmes between the European Union and key partner countries.
This report, on behalf of INPACE focuses on the Indo-Pacific region, with specific attention to Japan, South Korea, Singapore and India under the EU–India Trade and Technology Council (TTC). It provides an in-depth analysis of how the EU’s policy frameworks align with national strategies in these countries, highlighting areas of convergence, complementarities and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
By mapping shared priorities across areas such as innovation, digital transformation, sustainability and strategic technologies, the Report aims to support policymakers, stakeholders and project partners in identifying concrete avenues for collaboration. The findings contribute directly to the objectives of the INPACE initiative, reinforcing dialogue and cooperation between the EU and Indo-Pacific partners.
Susana Seabra underlined the importance of evidence-based analysis in strengthening international partnerships, noting that understanding existing policy synergies is essential for designing effective and impactful cooperation initiatives in the region.
