Zürich, 25th March 2025: The INPACE core partners have concluded a two-day in-person meeting held at the premises of Martel Innovate and Digital4Planet in Zürich. This gathering provided a timely and essential platform for decision-making and collaboration among consortium members, following a highly successful review meeting with the European Commission. It enabled partners to exchange updates on their activities, evaluate progress achieved, and address challenges within their respective workstreams. Additionally, the meeting aimed to align evolving needs and expectations with current circumstances.
Svetlana Klessova, from G.A.C Group, coordinator of the INPACE project, expressed great enthusiasm: “We are entering an exciting phase for the project, equipped with invaluable tools to enhance digital partnerships between the EU and the Indo-Pacific region. INPACE is actively engaged in several promising initiatives, including Virtual Fairs, pilot projects, and community building activities.”
In a productive exchange, participants reviewed the project’s progress and discussed necessary adjustments to several Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) to better align with expected developments. The meeting covered a range of crucial topics, including policy regulation, standardisation, funding opportunities, and initiatives to enhance digital skills and data in the Indo-Pacific region. A key point of emphasis was the need for a nuanced, country-specific approach, with participants stressing the importance of developing tailored strategies for each target nation to establish and maintain effective contacts. This comprehensive discussion underscored the project’s commitment to adaptability and strategic planning in response to evolving regional dynamics.
INPACE project partners are co-organising the upcoming EU-Japan Digital Week, set to take place from March 31 to April 7, 2025, in Tokyo. This event will unite stakeholders to explore key digital priorities, including 6G, Data Spaces, and Trustworthy AI, to name a few.
