What is your organization’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
CIIRC CTU is a lead of the TWG “Trusted AI” and co-lead of the TWG “Digitalisation of industry, infrastructures and services”. CIIRC CTU was established to bridge the gap between academia and industry through facilitating the transfer of knowledge and supporting the digital transformation of SMEs. Moreover, CIIRC CTU offers a unique research environment for developing and testing innovative solutions. Moreover, it acts as the national hub for AI and Industry 4.0. All these aspects can be leveraged within INPACE.
How do you think INPACE will contribute to the digital landscape in the EU and Asia?
INPACE can create the basis for a new ecosystem of trust between the EU and INPACE countries. It can bridge knowledge gaps and foster cooperation between the European and Asian technology stakeholders. By aligning mutual interests with global sustainable development goals, a new framework for cooperation on the emerging technologies can be created.
How can the EU and Asia strategically collaborate to forge impactful partnerships that foster innovation in the digital space on a global scale?
The EU and INPACE countries can benefit from effective partnerships if they strategically leverage their complementary strengths in digital innovation. Such cooperation can focus on developing common strategies for emerging technologies, testing environments (testbeds), standards and ethical frameworks for digital innovation. A common approach to technological security, safety, regulatory harmonization, ethical values and intellectual property protection can also strengthen trust and facilitate economic growth for both EU and INPACE countries.
