Digital for Planet is a non-profit organization at work to support the design, development and adoption of innovative digital technologies, systems and solutions that empower people, communities and both public and private organizations to effectively address the major social, economic and environmental challenges humanity must face. Digital for Planet’s mission is to make the twin green and digital transition a reality, working in line with the priorities set within the Digital Decade path, the European Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals to support Europe’s climate neutrality and establish a sustainable digital future all around the globe.
What is your organization’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
Digital for Planet is leading communication, outreach, and stakeholder engagement for INPACE. It manages the project’s online presence by developing and curating the INPACE website, producing multimedia content, and promoting key activities, including expert interviews, thematic webinars and policy discussions. It also ensures broad dissemination across owned and partner channels. Additionally, Digital4Planet fosters synergies with European and international initiatives in sustainable digital technologies by engaging key stakeholders, supporting joint research opportunities, and connecting EC-funded projects through joint activities such as the TWGs or webinars.Digital for Planet’s goal is to maximize INPACE’s visibility and impact while strengthening collaboration across digital sustainability ecosystems.
How do you think INPACE will contribute to the digital landscape in the EU and Asia?
INPACE aims to facilitate research and innovation activities in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and India by fostering collaborations between European entities and Asian partners. The initiative seeks to enhance international cooperation, exchange knowledge, and promote best practices in various sectors. Through activities such as skill development, research support, and promoting semiconductor manufacturing, INPACE will accelerate technological innovation globally and strengthen ties between the Asian and European technology markets to build a sustainable digital future together.
How can the EU and Asia strategically collaborate to forge impactful partnerships that foster innovation in the digital space on a global scale?
INPACE aims to facilitate strategic collaborations between the European Union (EU) and Indo-Pacific countries by:
- Establishing regular exchanges between experts to discuss policies and advancements in digital technologies, fostering their implementation and commercialization.
- Supporting digital policy dialogues at governmental and institutional levels.
- Involving stakeholders from Europe and partner countries through online and in-person events.
These collaborations are expected to lead to long-term international cooperation in research and development (R&D), strengthening technologies and industries in both regions, and attracting students and researchers to participate in joint initiatives and programs. es and programs.
