How do you think INPACE will contribute to the digital landscape in the EU and Asia?

The aim of INPACE is to enhance Digital Partnerships with Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore, as well as to facilitate Technology Transfer and Cooperation (TTC) with India. Moreover, it aims to foster collaboration between the European Union and Asia, with a specific focus on digital technologies and their impact on societal well-being. INPACE will generate strategic outcomes by leveraging analytical work and extensive domain knowledge. It will facilitate ongoing dialogues among leading experts from Europe and the four partner countries, covering topics such as policies, advancements in key digital technologies, and their practical implementation and commercialization. To promote the exchange of ideas and propel digital innovation, INPACE will establish a Multi-Stakeholder Hub, involving experts and policymakers from both the EU and Asia, through a Community Platform and various online and offline events.

How can the EU and Asia strategically collaborate to forge impactful partnerships that foster innovation in the digital space on a global scale?

The European Union and Asia have the opportunity to collaborate strategically by capitalizing on their respective strengths in technology and innovation. This collaboration will be strengthened by engaging in joint research and development endeavors, implementing exchange programs for entrepreneurs, and harmonizing regulations: all these actions will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and drive innovation. Establishing collaborative platforms, like the INPACE community platform that bring together startups, academic institutions, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, can encourage partnerships across borders and boost digital transformation. Furthermore, investment in digital infrastructure projects, such as enhancing high-speed internet connectivity and establishing frameworks for data sharing, can create a perfect environment to foster innovation. By aligning policies, standards, and investment strategies, the EU and Asia can collectively tackle global challenges and unlock opportunities for sustainable growth in the digital economy. Encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors and supporting innovation hubs can further bolster collaboration and expedite the development and adoption of emerging technologies, ensuring a competitive advantage on the global stage.
