The session will feature Prof. Dr. Iiro Harjunkoski (Aalto University and Hitachi Energy Research), a leading expert in industrial optimisation and digital energy systems. He will discuss current bottlenecks in the interaction between power grids and large energy consumers, and highlight key innovations required to enable a more flexible, efficient, and sustainable energy system.
A Q&A session and open discussion will follow, focusing on medium-term research and innovation priorities, with particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration between the European Union and Japan, India, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore.
