SUMMARY:Webinar on Data Products for Trusted Data Exchanges
DESCRIPTION:For the implementation of data sharing concepts\, the notion of a data product is becoming important for trusted data transactions\, at national\, European or International level.  (Data product: standardized data unit packaging data and relevant conditions into a useable form). \n\n\nIncreasing demands for data sharing\, purchase and consumption to cover effective AI models’ training have led to the notion of AI-ready data products. Also\, the reliance of Digital Product Passports (DPP) on efficient data sharing of 3rd-party data assets assumes datasets that are ready for consumption by other organisations. \nIn the context of the EU-Indo-Pacific Digital Partnership\, cross-regional data sharing imply coordinated efforts\, as: \n\n\nend-users from both regions require control over their data sharing preferences\nglobal industry needs to implement overarching and trusted data sharing solutions\npublic authorities are called to manage varying data-related regulatory requirements\n\n\nThis INPACE webinar targets audiences from Europe and the Indo-Pacific regions to discuss: \n\n\n‘Data products in Data Spaces’\, Gabriella Laatikainen\, VTT / DSSC\n‘AI-ready data products’\, Daniel Alonso\, BDVA\n‘DPP-ready data products’\, Suna Akbayir\, Artech Consulting\n\nRegister now! \n

SUMMARY:Beyond One-Size-Fits-All: Rethinking Carbon-Neutral Cities through Standards\, Space\, and People
DESCRIPTION:Carbon-neutral cities cannot be built on uniform blueprints. Each must follow pathways that reflect its unique local context. This talk introduces an enhanced evaluation framework inspired by Kate Raworth’s Doughnut model\, adapted for urban sustainability. It also rethinks the 15-minute city by highlighting chronotope (time-space dynamics) and topophilia (emotional bonds with place) as key factors in spatial planning. \nGovernance approaches — whether public-led\, private-led\, or through partnerships — should be tailored rather than standardized. Most importantly\, future-ready cities require service models that are co-created with citizens and informed by behavioral economics. Such models ensure that climate neutrality is not only achieved on paper but embedded in everyday urban life. \nThis session will share critical perspectives on how carbon-neutral cities can move from abstract targets to meaningful\, citizen-centered innovation. \nRegister Now! \n

SUMMARY:2025 Hackathon on Interoperability of Digital Public Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Hackathon on “Interoperability of Digital Public Infrastructure” – an exciting event where creative minds collaborate to solve one of today’s most pressing digital challenges.\nDigital Public Infrastructures (DPIs) refer to open\, inclusive\, and secure digital platforms such as digital identity\, payments\, and data exchanges that underpin foundational government and commercial services and can be adapted for global use. DPIs are meant to be interoperable\, trusted\, and designed for public good\, facilitating seamless access and innovation.\n\nThe EU-India Trade and Technology Council (TTC) has prioritized cooperation on DPIs\, recognizing the potential to create credible\, scalable digital foundations in developing countries and enhance interoperability between EU and Indian systems. India’s experience offers tested blueprints for digital identity\, e-payments\, and secure data sharing\, whereas the EU focuses on digital governance\, infrastructure\, and promoting a human-centric digital economy.\n \nLearn more

SUMMARY:INPACE Workshops & Webinars: Let the Plants do the Talking: Climate-Smart Agriculture by the messages received from Plants and Soil (TWG 12 - Advanced Functionalities)
DESCRIPTION:Explore how cutting-edge electronics and AI are revolutionising agriculture\, driving eco-friendly solutions\, and enabling plants to “do the talking”.\n\nJoin us to discover the game-changing innovations shaping a sustainable future at the new upcoming IEEE Distinguished Lecture with Danilo Demarchi\, full professor at Politecnico di Torino and member of the IEEE Sensors Council and the BioCAS Technical Committee.\n\nAs reported in the report recently issued by the United Nations (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – IPCC Report 2021)\, the benefits that technology provides to a green and sustainable economy are highly appreciated and under intense research and development globally. Circuits and Systems (CAS)\, which are the base for any system\, can bring the needed functionalities and performances for reaching eco-friendly\, circular and practical solutions. \nThe IoT active connections in agriculture (as an example in Europe) are exponentially increasing\, proving that Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA or Precision/Smart Agriculture) is a very fast-growing research field\, where more controlled quality production\, water use optimisation\, and a lower spreading of pesticides and fertilisers are some key issues\, serving the improvement of food quality\, but also helping the respect of agriculture for the environment. \nTo reach these targets\, electronics are the perfect tool for interfacing the data sources\, extracting and processing the data\, and obtaining the needed information along the whole food chain: from the farmer and the professional stakeholders to the consumers. In the Distinguished Lecture\, an overview of electronics for CSA will be presented\, analysing the possible solutions that can bring important innovations\, advancing the actual strategies based on remote or indirect measurements by instead of in-place measuring the plant and soil parameters (a.k.a. Let the Plants do The Talking)\, associated with more standard information derived from environmental conditions. This new and disruptive technology\, related to Wearable Sensors for Plants\, the World Economic Forum has recently identified it as one of the “Top five technologies about to change the world”\, indicating it as one of the key solutions to increase food production by 70% by 2050 to be able to feed the world population. \nApplication scenarios for crop monitoring\, water control\, information communication and decision support will be presented. In particular\, it will be analysed technologies for reaching the needed levels of low power and low cost and the efficient ones to be applied to AgriFood at the global scale\, also supporting food security and sustainability \nFor more information\, visit here. \nZoom meeting\nTo join the meeting: https://grenoble-inp.zoom.us/j/96012318750\nID: 960 1231 8750\nPasscode: 333959
