Their design and optimization will require accurate compact models of these devices.<br \/>\nA deep understanding of the physics of OTFTs and OECTs is necessary for the development of models for these devices.<\/p>\n<p>This talk is intended to provide a review and discussion of the physical phenomena which are relevant to the behaviour of OTFTs and OECTs. Some of these effects are still not fully understood. Afterwards, suitable techniques to develop physically-based compact models will be presented.
