SUMMARY:CLARA Days 2025
DESCRIPTION:As the first scientific conference organized by CLARA partners\, the CLARA Symposium 2025 will take place from Tuesday noon until Wednesday afternoon. The main organisers are the International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC) and the Czech Institute of Informatics\, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU)\, with the support of all CLARA partners. \nThe CLARA Symposium will bring together leading scientists\, industry experts\, policymakers\, and students. The symposium will present CLARA’s research strategy and long-term vision\, foster international collaboration\, and open new joint research directions to address global health challenges such as neurodegeneration and dementia. Its ambition is to connect the dots representing the wealth of information we already have about dementia-Alzheimer syndrome\, using disruptive technologies and methods. \nThe symposium will feature keynote lectures by distinguished speakers\, including: \n\nProf. Michal Rosen-Zvi\, IBM Research\, Israel (remotely)\nDr. Ira Ronit Hebold Haraldsen\, Oslo University Hospital\, Norway\nDr. Adam J Schwarz.\, GE Healthcare\, USA\n\nand many more. \nCLARA’s approach and progress will be presented within the contributions from CLARA experts such as Josef Šivic (CIIRC CTU)\, Jiří Damborský (ICRC\, MUNI)\, Ara Khachaturian and Jean-Marie C. Bouteiller (both INDRC)\, Ninon Burgos and Ollivier Colliot (both Paris Brain Institute)\, Vít Vondrák (IT4Innovations\, VSB-TUO)\, and many more. \nThe CLARA Symposium will conclude with the first high-level quadruple helix roundtable\, fostering dialogue across academia\, industry\, government\, and society on responsible AI in healthcare. This session\, entitled “AI & Brain Health: Building Trust through Collaboration across Sectors”\, will be held on Wednesday\, 12 November\, afternoon. \nLearn more \n \n

SUMMARY:Beyond One-Size-Fits-All: Rethinking Carbon-Neutral Cities through Standards\, Space\, and People
DESCRIPTION:Carbon-neutral cities cannot be built on uniform blueprints. Each must follow pathways that reflect its unique local context. This talk introduces an enhanced evaluation framework inspired by Kate Raworth’s Doughnut model\, adapted for urban sustainability. It also rethinks the 15-minute city by highlighting chronotope (time-space dynamics) and topophilia (emotional bonds with place) as key factors in spatial planning. \nGovernance approaches — whether public-led\, private-led\, or through partnerships — should be tailored rather than standardized. Most importantly\, future-ready cities require service models that are co-created with citizens and informed by behavioral economics. Such models ensure that climate neutrality is not only achieved on paper but embedded in everyday urban life. \nThis session will share critical perspectives on how carbon-neutral cities can move from abstract targets to meaningful\, citizen-centered innovation. \nRegister Now! \n

SUMMARY:Webinar - Drivers and realms of distributed AI computing with More Moore - Nov 25\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Distributed AI computing is augmenting the human productivity to new horizons and enhancing the natural interfaces between human and computer. More Moore compute\, memory technologies\, and scale-up/scale-out communication fabric are key ingredients for the scalability of distributed AI computing.\nMustafa Badaroglu is Director of Engineering at Qualcomm for AI chipset/system development with focus on system-technology-co-optimization (STCO)\, custom memory for data center\, mobile\, compute\, and XR products. Across more than 30 years of industry experience he had various assignments for the design and management of mobile\, compute\, graphics\, and automotive chipsets from concept to volume production\, deployment of AI platforms for automotive and smart manufacturing\, process technology selection/ramping\, analog and digital design automation\, and STCO/DTCO. He holds more than one hundred published patents\, and (co)-authored over one hundred publications in scientific journals/proceedings. He is a workstream member of American Semiconductor Innovation Coalition (ASIC)\, Si2 alliance\, DRAM JEDEC\, and IEEE IRDS More Moore global chair. He holds PhD in Electrical Engineering and Master in Industrial Management\, both from the Catholic University of Leuven. \nRegister Now!
